i lived in the area in the early to mid 80's and this was the place to dine in the area. i'm sure much hasn't changed and the food was excellent i always ordered the seafood sampler [broiled]scallops,a fish fillet and a crab cake.always excellent i live probably 6 hours away now and find myself salvating to take an overnight trip just to go to lowery's . unless things have really changed this was the best seafood i have ever eaten. beautiful area and if you're into laid back in the old south this is a place to visit.
