Dinesite.com needs to take another look at their $12-20 assessment of the price for an entree. That range is correct for the `first course` or appetizer. A `main course`, however, is at least $20-25, probably more, if I recall correctly. Plus, the wine list is extensive, but only a handful on a list of about 300 (roughly) can be had for less than $40. My date and I very much enjoyed our long, relaxed dining experience at Laurel, so the above is no criticism, just a revision for anyone else taking a first look at a classy joint named Laurel in downtown San Diego. Ambiance, service, and food were all good. Recommended.
