Probably the best Chinese joint in New York, or anywhere outside China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan for that matter. Although Tang Pavilion is rather expensive and somewhat crowded, the food is simply out of this world. On your very first visit you will wonder why nobody has taken you here sooner. By the time you walk out of the door you will be planning your next visit. Using the Michelin criteria, this place is definitely worth taking a detour. Then again, if you have the money and the time, it is worth making a special trip for.
