I first visited Schmidt's as a seventh grade student on a ice skating trip to Columbus from New Lexington, Ohio. From that moment on the Bahamma Mamma with mustard and saurkraut has become a comforting memory of home. From the days of Oktoberfest while attending Ohio State, to the intimate dates spent with anticipation over a giant cream puff, Schmidt's is as much a part of me as a warm fire in winter. I know live in Atlanta and long for the frosty eves of Schmidts to warm the cackles of my homesick heart.
