You can tell that this cafe exists solely to draw attention to the storefront. Waitstaff is either ill-trained or instructed to make one think so. Food is carelessly prepared, some dishes without seasoning and others with too much, or with far too much salt. People often stay, to see and to be seen -- but also because service is very slow. The point is not to come for a good meal but to be part of the image of Newbury street. There are, however, much better places to be seen where one can actually enjoy a meal at the same time.
