This is by far, the best Japanese Restaurant in Alameda. It has been for years. Furthermore, the prices seem to remain unchanged from when I first visited the restaurant years ago. The food is consistently fresh and delicious. And the service is second to none. Mrs. Yamato and her staff are clearly dedicated to perfecting their craft. The atmostphere is appropriate for an inexpensive dinner out when you don't feel like cooking at home. Yet, at the same time, the atmosphere is entirely appropriate for celebrating special occasions such as a birthday with friends.
