Hours are sporadic-- last visit, they opened an hour late. (Typical, according to a neighbor.) Food was well cooked, but far from authentic. (For example, I ordered Corvina, which is Chilean Sea Bass. What I got appeared to be Cod. Close, but no cigar.) Even the Aji (Pepper sauce) was a fake-- Vietnamese Chili sauce. Granted Aji peppers are hard to find in the Midwest, but a few minutes from the restaurant you can find a fully stocked Ecuadorian grocery store. They didn't even offer Ecuadorian beverages, even though they're an easy find.Lazy or cheap, I can't say. The food was wholesome, but not authentic and unfortunately at a premium price. `Mr. Pollo` is much more authentic Ecuadorian, and they aren't even trying.
