Cafe Marimba is a noisy restaurant with a long bar on one side. By the looks of the crowd, we thought that the food must be great, but after living forty years in California, I found the crowd a mystery! The food was not even passable as good Mexican food and the service was like snail mail! Granted, the prices for the specials are low, which, no doubt, draws the `Nacho` crowd, but add a few beers and you may as well be at Spago's! If you're in the Marina District and ready for dinner, do yourself a favor - Chestnut Street has several restaurants to chose from - for your stomach's sake - don't choose this dog!
