I stopped at Ambria while on convention in Chicago. Ambria was a second choice to Trotter's, but I just had a bad feeling about Trotter's, so my girlfriend and I opted for Ambria. Wow! The food while not the best I've ever had was excellent. The ambience was romantic and the service nearly perfect. Bob Bansberg is a great sommelier and he didn't flinch when we ordered the '94 Y'quem. Ambria is different from the sum of its parts; it's better. I don't regret missing Trotter's. And next time, when we go to watch the Cubs, Ambria will be at the top of our list!
