Food quality here can be inconsistent, but the service never is - it's ALWAYS pretentious, and your waiter's attention (or lack thereof) is dependent upon how good-looking you are and how well you're dressed. Several female friends have said they're uncomfortable here midst the mostly youngish, hippish, and very gay crowd, and are generally ignored by the waiters. With so many better places in the area (Chow on Church @ Market is only two blocks away, and far superior in every aspect), management is foolish not to improve the service and, until they do, you'd best go elsewhere.
