The moment I drove into the drive way, I felt as if I was transferred into the days of old Scotland. The building was beautiful on the outside, and the entrance door was so big and strong you felt as if you were walking into a castle. The inside was beautiful too. The entrance room had a cute fireplace on the right where you could wait to be seated. Being seated only took a couple minutes with a reservation. To the left of the entrance room was a sizable bar area with small bar tables scattered around. The decor was very authentic. As you walk deeper into the building to your table, you can see all the decorations that make the restaurant look so cozy and warm. There was a main dining area, with three other dining rooms linked to it. It was a very big place. The rooms were comfortably full of other diners, and the conversation buzz made me feel like I was in an old Scottish tavern. There was long list of wine and drinks, as well as many selections for dinner. The food was great. My friends got the salmon and the rack of lamb, and both meals looked just as good as my prime rib. A warning: I asked for my meat to be med-rare, and it turned out to be more rare, so ask for your meat a little darker than you prefer. The waitresses were wonderful and welcoming, and the famous soufflé dessert was great. Ask for it at the beginning of your meal. We also got a special dessert on the house because it was our first time there. Pricing for dinners were between $17-24. The food stands up to the price. Go to this restaurant if you want to get away from the city for a couple hours. It's worth the drive and the money.
