When making the reservation for a party of 7 the man on the other end was very polite. He even offered a few suggestions for my Dad’s birthday, like a custom birthday cake or piece of cake with writing “Happy Birthday DAD” on the plate. I picked the Happy Birthday Dad choice. After being seated, the waiter, in front of everyone, asks me what type of birthday dessert I wanted for my Grandma. I got out of my chair and told the waiter to follow me and we went to the reservation desk in the front. I told both of them, the waiter and the lady at the front, that it was my DAD’s!! birthday and that next time be sensitive to the fact that my DAD is sitting at the table with us. Simple common sense!! Well, the waiter was rude the entire night. My Grandma asked for the soup selection and he said we don’t have soup in a rude manner. Ok, let me skip to the dessert part. The waiter brought out the birthday piece of cake with a candle. That was good. He placed it in front of my DAD and said happy birthday than ran to another table. He didn’t sing or show any enthusiasm. I don’t know if this guy has NO personality or if he just figured well I’m getting my 18% no matter what because its guaranteed for parties over 7 or what!! This is not the way you keep customers coming back! Well if I had a choice I would have given this guy 10%. He lucked out on the guaranteed 18%, let me tell ya. My DAD had the lamb and it was prepared perfect. I tasted it and it melted in my mouth. My brother and I had the Peppered Tuna and that was very good. My wife had the chicken and that was also very good. The dessert was also very good. The wine, both red and white were very good, can’t remember the names. My dirty belvedere martini was the worst dirty martini I’ve ever had! It literally tasted dirty as in toilet water. My drink is a dirty martini and this was no dirty martini! So if you put all of them together the 420.00 price tag was not worth it! See what a difference a waiter can make!
