The overly formal attitude and atmosphere seems out of place here. Desserts were a major dissapointment. My cheese plate came with cookies rather than crackers or toast. When I requested toast, it took them 15 minutes to create a fancy collection of bread and toast that really wasn't appropriate for the cheese. Simple bread or toast served when I asked for it would have been more satisfying. Oceana, to me, seems too pretentious. Yet, at a restaurant of this quality, I would expect a `thank you for dining with us` greeting upon departure, but there was none. I have no reason to return. To me, Le Bernardin is far better (and more expensive), and Sea Grill is consistantly excellent without the pretentiousness.
