I recently made my first trip to Gene & Georgetti's and would recommend a return trip for those interested in true Chicago steak house atmosphere. The steaks are good (You will not need a steak knife nor will you be provided with one) but the side dishes are average at best. But side dishes are not the reason to visit this restaurant. The reason you go is to eat meat.And the meat is good.The adult beverage I had was well poured and cold. I cannot gurantee that reservations will do you much good (see other reviews). However, the lunch menu is good (priced appropriately) and I would suggest trying that time period. Not honoring reservations is a capital offense but what are you gonna do?
