Consistency is the key. I have dined at Smith and Wally's 25 plus times over the past five years, and it's quality never wavers. Not only are the steaks excellent quality,( second only to Luger's porterhouse, and that is an unfair comparison!) but the accompanying vegatables are always well prepared and hot. Stone crabs are great in season also. Just don't expect any innovations on the menu. That is not what this place is about. Go for the huge cocktails, decent wine list, men's club cameraderie, and the fine food. And don't forget to ask for Keith as your waiter! He's my favorite.
