Kamakura Japanese Restaurant provides the most authentic Japanese dining experience in South Jersey. The menu includes Sushi, tempura, teriyaki, sukiyaki, and also a wide variety of appetizers and noodle dishes (at fairly reasonable prices!). No wonder this restaurant is so popular among local Japanese business people. They also serve alcohol beverages, and you can choose from a variety of Japanese beer, sake, plum wine, and unique cocktails, such as sakini (martini made with sake) and jade (pina colada with midori, my favorite!). The restaurant is authentically build by Japanese architects from Japan, surrounded by a beautiful serene Japanese garden. They have special tatami rooms for added privacy and private parties (I suggest you make a reservation for tatami room in advance). After enjoying a nice meal, you can go to Cherries Lounge to hear people sing Karaoke (or you can do Karaoke). It's a popular spot among locals and it gets very busy on weekends. The restaurant is a bit difficult to find since the signs are not that big. If you are coming from the Route 70 heading toward East, make a right on North Elmwood, then make sure to take the first left immediately after. It's definately worth the drive!
