Why would you go to a chain place when you could get better seafood elsewhere without the cafeteria atmosphere? For some of the best seafood in Akron, go to Bill Crockers in Cuyahoga Falls-- I believe Crocker is from Maine and he gets the best seafood. This from a guy who lived on the East Coast and tries to swear by the guideline to never eat seafood in a restaurant if you can't see the shore. It'll cost a few bucks more than Red Lobster but it'll be great. For local seafood, get the walleye at Gus' Chalet or lake perch at the Polish American Club on Friday nights (near Juvenile Court).
