My first experience with Zarzuela's was when some friends brought me there when I visited San Francisco many years ago. I instantly fell in love with it. When my husband and I got married, I decided that we have our wedding dinner there for our friends. Needless to say, everyone loved it. We still go back there at least 4 times a year. In fact, we were there recently with some friends from out of town and once again, the experience was wonderful. The tapas are delicious especially the shrimp with garlic and olive oil, chorizo and clams with garlic and wine sauce. However, the latter is not on the menu and if you ask your server, and if they have clams they will be more than happy to make them for you. The paella is absolutely divine, but make sure you don't order the portion suggested as you will have no room left for anything else. The 2 person portion is enough for 4! There are only 2 soups on the menu, the gazpacho and blue crab bisque and I love them both! Make sure you get there early as the place fills up rather quickly and they don't take reservations.
