We were at the `Critic's Night` dinner, and it was fab! We were really surprized with the wine and food combinations. They seem to pair together perfectly~like they picked the food to go with the wine first.- Is follow up to post by MichaelinMiami ...
The Left Bank has been a major player in this local restaurant scene for more than two decades. I heard they are celebrating their 25th Anniversary this Summer.
They are especially known for their "Special" event food and wine dinners held throughout the year. The Anniversary dinner last year was held on four consecitive days because of its popularity.
Their "Critic's Night" dinner this year sounds really good. The management wants some feedback about proposed menu changes for the fall and decided to invite local food critics to dine. Some twist have been inserted....
Everyone will register their reservation under the name of "Jones". Each reservation will be seperated by their given birth date. Then as people enter everyone will be given a "Phantom of the Opera" mask, to protect the individuals anonymity. So as people network around the room, they won't know if they are the real food critic or just another foodie pretending to be one.
After dinner, comments will be collected on the food and wine offerings and changes will accure.
