After reading about Zarela's on this site, I decided to try it out with my family. While the chips and salsa were outstanding, the rest of the meal was not my most pleasant dining experience in the city. A couple of people in my party ordered the shrimp in green sauce. When it arrived we were surprised that the shrimp were served with the shell and they were all immersed in the sauce. One of the members in our party has lost strength in one of his hands, due to a stroke so it was mighty difficult for him to eat his meal. It would have been nice to have been told that this would be a very messy meal. Upon telling the owner about this episode he simple said we could use the restroom to wash up. It could have been handled with a bit more tact. As a side note, the one margarita that was ordered was way too strong and we said we would prefer a soft drink instead. Well, we got the bill and both drinks were included. I can understand keeping the margarita charge but the soft drink as well? A very disappointing experience overall.
