I am sorry you had that eperience, but I love the place! That maitre'd is gone, and the menu is definitely not Southwestern. It changes every season, which it is about to change again. I've been eating there for five years! I always go for my birthday and Valentine's Day, but make reservations for sure! Try it again.- Is follow up to post by lhoffman ...
A disappointing slide into haughty mediocrity about sums it up. This was my favorite place and I brought my family and friends visiting from out of town there all of the time. I sang The Green Room's praises until two things happened. First, they changed the menu to a more southwestern style from its old continental, eclectic. Do we not have enough of those restaurants in Dallas? Second, the maitre de was incredibly snobby and rude to me, my family and my friends on three consecutive visits. I'll tell you what, its a decent restaurant, but its not worth the degradation that he put us through! I don't go there or recommend it anymore. My advise to you is, go to The Rooster instead. The food and the service are both better! (A HREF='http://www.dinesite.com/cgi/view?page=17')(FONT COLOR='RED')(edited)(/FONT)(/A) -- 1/27/2000 9:14:59 AM
