My wife and I went for breakfast at Brennan's on our recent trip to New Orleans. Probably the most disapointing dining experience I've ever had! Breakfast cost over $100.00, the food was very ordinary (for New Orleans) and the service was terrible. The only good part of the entire meal were the bloody marys we started with, after that it went straight down hill. The appetizers were very ordinary (oyster soup and baked apple). The eggs benedict were very poorly done, they almost tasted like they were cooked ahead and reheated! The bananas foster weren't cooked at the table, were cold when they arrived and had the banana strings still in them! Not once did the waiters ask if things were ok or if we wanted anything else. I had to ask for bread and for a refill on my wife's coffee (the check did come very quickly though). The service was so bad that a table near us got up and left before their food even arrived because they were so frustrated with the waiter! This was the only bad experience we had on our trip, the rest of our meals were fantastic wherever we went, breakfast, lunch or dinner. Do yourself a favor and don't waste your time or money on this place, it's a tourist trap!
