McGill's is a unique dining experience by the fact when approaching it, there are no major distinguising markers of its location from the outside. However once inside, there is an extremely cozy feeling to this place. While certainly upper class, there is not the pretentious feeling you get with most restaurants of this price level. The wine list is expansive and covers all budgets from $20-$500. Once seated, the appetizers were the real jewel of this meal. The artichoke hearts were especially different in how it really attacked the palate, and the spinach dip is on par with most places of this level. The main courses were not stand out, however were definitely above average. The steaks are not heavily marinated, but of very good cuts. The coconut shrimp was a bit on the weaker side though. Overall, this experience is definitely worth it the investment and is a stand out in this price range.
