My husband had never been to the Olive Garden because he had believed it to be a high class, over priced place. But I convinced him to give the Olive Garden a try. I had been to one in Orlando and loved it! So, on our first anniversary, May 7th, 1994, we went to Daytona's Olive Garden. The service and food was out of this world! Todd was really surprised on how causual the atmosphere was, how freindly the people were, and how much food you get for your money, not to forget the excellent quality and variety we recieved! To my surprise, we went for our birthdays as well. Now, here it is three years later, and honestly, I can not convince him to go anywhere else for these occaisions, not that I give him much of an arguement! If you are looking for a recommendation on what to order, our favorite is the Tour Of Italy. You can not beat the quality and quantity of food on this plate! Wash this all down with the non-alchoholic sicilian splash, which has all kinds of fruit juices. If you don't need a doggie bag by this point, or if you definately want dessert, go for the chocolate raspberry cheesecake. I forgot the name exactly, but it is on the menu! Before you leave, ask the waiter/tress for a doggie bag of their can't be beat garlic bread. You can even bring the remainder of your bottomless salad or soup home too! One more thing, if there is a special occasion, make sure to let them know, but be prepared, they may just come out singing! Please make sure to fill out a comment card before you do go, or do what I do and tell a manager personally if you have a spare momment.Don't forget to compliment your server as well. It is wonderful feedback for them! (This way, the Olive Garden will be around for along, long time, and my husband and I will have a compleatly wonderful meal for our anniversary/birthday till we are old and gray!:)
