The owners of the Rib Room owe the city of Eureka hundreds of thousands of dollars of back taxes, and they are struggling. This once fine restaurant has decayed greatly, and the food is horrible. New York steak is served with an extremely salty sauce and was advertised during a banquet as being 'grilled' but it was slow roasted like pot roast with a huge amount of fat left on the meat. The rib room itself is a beautiful restaurant, but the food doesn't match the atmosphere. A real disappointment.
