The original is not always the best. Yes, Chez Pierre is a long-established Tallahassee eatery that has historically attracted downtown businesspeople who desire a convenient place to dine, but the growth of Tallahassee has brought about better French restaurants of a higher caliber. The food here is mediocre, the prices (especially for dinner) are too high for the quality of the food, and overall the restaurant has lost its luster. Instead, I'd recommend a new French restaurant named 'Albert's Provence', located just north of I-10 off Thomasville Road. Run by the once personal chef of Jacques Cousteau, this restaurant has brought about a whole new level of dining in Tallahassee, and was recently rated the 'best restaurant in town,' 5 hats, by a local newspaper food critic. Check this one out, not Chez Pierre.
