Cheryl, Here in Hawaii, Mahi Mahi is one of the most popular and flavorful fish to catch and eat. In the mainland it is known as a Dolphin Fish or Dorado and yes it is a fish not the playful mammal of the same name. i hope this clears up any question you had and enjoy your Mahi Mahi without any guilt the next time you frequent that restaurant. Please help! We have a local resturant here
in LA that serves Mahi Mahi. Ive been told that it's the porpus that get caught in the tuna nets. Others say it's a porpus fish not a mamual at all. Can you please olvethis uestion for us?
