This is my favorite Italian restaurant in Kansas City. They use quite a bit of garlic, but it always seems appropriately generous. Simple dishes like Eggplant Parmesean are executed to perfection. Try their garlic cheese bread with your entree. Their regular crispy crusted Italian bread served with meals is also very good. I love their caesar salad dressing!!!!!!! Have them put loads of fresh cracked pepper on it! Three booths in the rear of the restaurant adjacent to the bar are very cozy. Vic Fontana is obviously a hands-on restraurateur, who has learned to maintain very high standards by maintaining a constant presence near the bar in the rear of the restaurant. He's often quietly sitting back there, sipping on a hot beverage. This guy really knows how to run a fine restaurant.
