Our party of 8 was center room and a bit crowded. Starters included Fried Mushrooms Parmigiana ($8.00) which was a portion enough for at least 4; Mussels alla Marinara ($9.00) served fra Diavolo as requested were huge tender mussels in sauce that had to be scooped up on the wonderful Atlantic City Italian bread which is replenished on the table at request (shared by all).
Salads came with dinners. Though the lettuce was nice and crisp, it included only two anemic wedges of tomato and cucumber slices.
Our choices for entree's: Fettuccini Mama Mott ($13.95) was green spinach noodles sauteed with garlic, oil, Parmesan cheese and prosciutto ... nice. Veal Cutlet Parmigiana ($17.95)was very cheesy and a bit to thin, though it covered the dinner plate and was served with choice of linguini, ziti, or spaghetti (as were all dinners).
Sirloin Steak Pizzaiola ($24.95) was a 16 oz. sirloin with onions, peppers, and mushrooms in a wonderful sauce smothered with Parmesan and Mozzarella cheese. Steak was done medium rare as ordered, a happy entree though a bit too much cheese. Chicken Cacciatore ($15.95) was a wonderful blend of boneless breast of chicken in a tomato herb wine sauce with mushrooms, peppers, and onions. Yumm. Shrimp Parmigiana ($19.95)and Flounder Marinara ($18.95) were both tasty presentations and very adequate portions. Shrimp Orleans ($18.95) was good with sweet peppers, hot peppers, and onions in a spicy white wine sauce; not quite "New Orleans" enough.
Half-way through the meal, our waiter informed us they were out of the wine we had been drinking...mmm...not a good thing. On to desserts...Tiramisu was ($5.00) and was homemade..light and yummy. Tartufo ($5.00) was touted by the waiter to be a huge portion; so he split it among 4...not enough to taste! New York Cheese cake ($4.00) was light and reasonable. Service was good.
