Package the aroma from this place and make a fortune! From the parking lot across the street, your mouth starts to water -- and with good reason.
Established in 1946, this Sub Shop is outstanding. Pictures line the walls of greats Joe DiMaggio, Marilyn Monroe, Frank Sinatra and on and on.. Every politician and Miss America comes here to sample the best subs in the city ... the ingredients are top shelf (91.1% fat free USDA choice lean top round steak cut fresh daily for the steak subs) and the best bread in the city ... Formica ... delivered fresh all during the day. The marriage of White House expertise and ingredients and Formica bread is ONLY made in Atlantic City!
Regular Subs ($4.75 for a 1/2) and Cheese Steak Subs ($5.35 for a 1/2) are personal favorites. BUT experience will teach you to eat there AND order "to go" cause you'll want just a little more for a snack at night!
Sounds here are open and friendly from the banter of the counter people to those coming in off the street. Watch your sub being made. There is counter seating and booths line one wall. Open for lunch and dinner. Great stop for before or after the casinos ... or just any time you have a craving! You may have to wait a bit to sit, but this is a must go to for the visitor in the city ... cause all the locals KNOW to go! :)
