The Chinese Dumpling House is the only place in Boulder County where you can get great Chinese Dumplings. What are these dumplings? They are small pies, of sorts, stuffed with chicken or beef and plenty of vegetables. Served four to a plate (each roughly the size of your fist) -- dunk them in a sauce and devour.
The dumplings are certainly good, the soup could be considered even better. Ask for the beef based noodle soup. A large bowl of soup stocked with long egg noodles, bok choy, carrots and beef chunks in a hot and sour base is presented to you. This soup is absolutely splendid for the cold days and is the best I have tasted outside of San Francisco.
The Chinese Dumpling House is family owned, and they definitely take pride in their restaurant. Feel free to ask any menu questions that might arise: the staff is helpful and generous. In fact, during my last visit, I witnessed a customer with some fairly particular ingredient needs ... the owners took time to heed the customer’s every specific need – what service!
