The Korea House is Boulder's best kept secret to date. This simple little place cooks up the best Korean food in the state. I enjoy the small, cozy atmosphere, the kind owners and, of course … the food.
Usually when you get to the restaurant, you can pick any table you like. Once you have your seat and a menu you get to choose the foods of Japan or Korea (my favorites tend to be a little of both).
The pan fried dumplings are great to start. You might even indulge in some sake (if that’s your thing). For the best of fish, their sushi is handmade … from there on, the words in the menu go Asian -- so read the descriptions carefully.
Bi-Bim-Bab is my favorite: rice, vegetables, a fried egg and red sauce on top. Mix it together and you’ll get an explosion of tastes (somewhat spicy though). Another favorite is the Bulogie: Korean-style rice, beef and two vegetables (very good). Each meal is accompanied by miso soup, kim chee and hot tea per your request.
