Gautreau's is a fine, small upscale restaurant located in an old pharmacy in an Uptown New Orleans neighborhood. Great appetizers -- I never miss the duck confit. Entrees are inventive and uniformly excellent. Good desserts, too.
Easily one of the city's best, and reservations are absolutely required.
